Meghan Joseph is the Founder of Project Room Design. She is an artist, designer, curator, and 20-year veteran of the New York City arts and culture landscapes. Throughout her career in art centric philanthropy, education, and community based organizations, her passion has remained the same – to powerfully convey the vision of progressive institutions and elevate diverse voices. Her previous work spans the private office of Agnes Gund, President Emerita of MoMA; innovative public schools in Brooklyn; the studio of Soho artist Lisa Fromartz; and the official website of Sol Yurick, author of The Warriors.
Meghan served a four year tenure as the Exhibition Curator & Marketing Manager at Staten Island Arts, the borough’s arts council. She spearheaded a new, contemporary visual identity for the council. As Exhibition Curator, she curated exhibits including John Foxell: Memento Mori; Dawn of a New Decade; And Yet, We Still Have Joy; and Know Me.
Meghan attended New York University and holds a B.S. in Culture & Communications (Graphic Communication Concentration) and a Minor in Studio Art. Her art includes collage based, mixed media work and photography of architecture, landscapes, and disparate cultures. She lives with her husband, Allan Avidano, and their two sons, Adrien and Eli.
